The browser extension constantly disconnects and has been getting worse over the last couple of weeks. I get disconnected about 5+ times in 15 minutes. It is completely unusable. On top of that it keeps asking me for a login and password every time it disconnects even though I told it to remember me when I initially installed it. FIX IT PLEASE.

The VPN itself works well and is generally stable when used with OpenVPN or the dedicated application. However, the browser extension is highly problematic. It logs out randomly, offers far fewer server options, and has a critical flaw that makes it unusable for me. When the extension is enabled in Microsoft Edge or Chrome, the browser automatically redirects all HTTP sites to HTTPS. This behavior prevents me from accessing essential home devices like my UPS, VOIP adapter, router, and others, as they don't support HTTPS connections. Please address this issue to make the extension functional in such scenarios.

I have to manually turn the VPN on every time I turn on the computer. Why is there no setting to have it turn on on startup like there is on the Android app? This seems like a huge oversight to me. There is also a pop up that frequently pops up asking me to log in to the individual servers. I do not understand why this occurs, the extension already has my login information. Please fix these issues.

Its stated that a VPN is available in every US state. Total BS, maybe 12 total. Cancelling this so called service.

Fails open rather than failing safe. It will log you out every couple of months, not notify you, and not block any internet traffic, effectively leaking your traffic until you notice it.

Doesn't include most servers/countries. This add-on is kinda useless, better use the app. It'd take them a few hours to fix the extension (adding the remaining servers), but it's been years and they still haven't fixed it. This is basically abandoned.

I used another well known VPN for 6 years but due to the price I decided to compare what else was on offer. PIN had some good reviews from a tech site so decided to give it a go before my previous one expired. Although it doesn't have all the bells and whistles as my old VPN it suited my needs perfectly as I never used all the extras anyway. They say they are free and included, but we all know there is no such thing as free in cases like these, so to lose them was no great shakes and it saved me a good deal of money as it is less than half the price. Setting it up on both my Chromebook and phone wasn't the easiest, but I managed and now does what it should as expected. Edit: Reading some of the reviews about set-up problems, I think my issues may well have been because I still had my previous VPN installed and "conflicts" occurred. Once I decided to leave my old VPN and deleted it, this one worked without any problems.

Two stars because I have the desktop app and it runs perfect but this extension will not let me login. I keep getting "Unknown error has occured."

Still doesn't work, connection interrupts intermittently. Tried last time a year ago and it was the same. The VPN itself works very well, i've had it for years but this plugin.. Just doesn't.

Doesn't seem to work in Spain anymore. Cant access BBC anymore through Manchester. Looking at the recent reviews it would seem they've taken the money and disappeared.

Don't work in Russia

I like PIA but it seems like it doesn't work well with Youtube. When I add youtube url to bypass list, I'm unable to play videos, it just keeps loading.. Everything is fine when I disconnect the VPN or when I remove youtube from bypass list. Is this extension fully compatible to Microsoft Edge?

The app works fine, though not being able to bypass specific urls is a very missing feature. That is possible in the extension... which is unusable, because it logs me out on random intervals ranging from a few hours to a few seconds.

I have start using today in my chrome as an extension and uptill now it is working good. The shifting is instant....

The extentsion works well with a lot of user settings available.
